I'm trying to create a serious text based rpg for me and my friends to play, and I want the .exe to have an icon so it looks good.

I went into paint, drew up a quick icon, saved it as "DragonIcon.ico"

Made a file "Resource.rc"

inside Resource.rc "MAINICON ICON "DragonIcon.ico"

I went into Project/add files/Resource.rc

compiled and get this error

||icon file `DragonIcon.ico' does not contain icon data| ||=== Build finished: 1 errors, 0 warnings (0 minutes, 0 seconds) ===|

not sure if Microsoft paint has the ability to make a icon in the proper format, i was always told to use a icon maker. There are plenty of them online based... just google around a bit.
